Wall Heath
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wall Heath is a small village on the western fringe of the Black Country and the West Midlands conurbation (England, UK). It is located on the A449, approx. 7 miles south of Wolverhampton and 9 miles North of Kidderminster.
[edit] Schools
The village is served by two primary schools. Maidensbridge School [1] and The Church of the Ascension CofE School [2]. Pupils from these schools will typically move to the nearby Kingswinford School [3] or Summerhill School [4] for their secondary education.
[edit] Amenities
For a small village it is surprisingly well catered for by local shops and restaurants. The village has a fish and chip shop, two Indian restaurants, a chinese takeaway, a cantonese restaurant and a pizza takeaway and delivery restaurant. It also has four public houses. There is a small library, late opening convenience store, off-licence/wine store, a petrol station and a newsagents/post-office.
Churches
There are three churches in the village: The Church of the Ascension (CofE) sits at the centre of the village, with the smaller St Andrew's (United Reformed) and Evangelical Churches a short distance away.
