"Walk it Out" is the debut single from Unk from his debut album Beat'n Down Yo Block. The song has been played in clubs and on the radio in Atlanta since early 2006 but gained popularity nationwide in the later part of the year. The song was written by Montay Humphrey, Anthony Platt and Howard Simmons. The official remix includes André 3000 of OutKast & Jim Jones.
The song was performed at the 1st Annual BET Hip Hop Awards in 2006, featuring Donovan "Bajeka" Moore and Happy Dance and was considered one of the best performance of the night. There is some speculation whether this song is a cover of the Village People's song of the same name.
It was featured in the 2006 film "Happy Feet", as well as in the 2007 films "Stomp the Yard" and "Norbit". This song is used in many dance videos to "create" some kind rhythm for the people who are watching.
