Walibi World
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Walibi World is a theme park in Biddinghuizen, in Dronten, Netherlands, owned by Compagnie des Alpes.
There is a bus service to the theme park from Harderwijk. This is one of two Walibi parks in the Benelux that carry the Walibi name; the other one being Walibi Belgium.
Until 2005 Walibi World was known as Six Flags Holland, which name it had carried from 2000. Originally the park was named Flevohof, referring to the province of Flevoland, in which the park is situated. After a bankruptcy in 1993 the park was bought by the Walibi Group and renamed Walibi Flevo.
In 2006, the park was sold to Compagnie des Alpes, a french leisure group.
