Walewice
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Walewice is a small village in Poland above the Bzura River. It is 25 kilometers from Lowicz. It is home to a 19th century castle that belonged to Anastazy Colonna-Walewski, who was chamberlain of King Stanislaus Augustus Poniatowski. Walewice attracts tourists because Napoleon Bonaparte had a love affair with Countess Walewska, a native.
