Waldameer is an amusement park in Erie, Pennsylvania. Along with admission-free rides and picnic facilities, the park is also home to Water World, a paid-admission water park.
The park still operates two classic dark attractions that they keep in excellent condition; the Whacky Shack, a two-story ride, and the Pirates Cove, a walkthrough funhouse. Both were designed and built by Bill Tracy and his company, Amusement Display Associates out of Cape May NJ. Tracy is revered as one of the masters of the golden age of dark rides.
For the 2007 season, Waldameer will open X-Scream, a new 140-foot tall drop tower ride.
