Why is Walter Alston listed as a notable person associated with Bellefontaine, Ohio in the Bellefontaine, Ohio entry in Wikipedia? Bellefontaine is not mentioned in the Walter Alston entry.

• Well, if you feel that it needs to be in the Walter Alston article, add it with some information as to why.

• He was born in Butler County, over 100 miles to the southwest, later he lived in Logan County.

• From "History of Logan County" ([1] and [2]):
  • "WALTER ALSTON (1911-1984) managed the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers from 1954-1976. He won 2040 games, seven National League Pennants, and four World Series Championships. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1983. Prior to managing the Dodgers, Alston played in the minor leagues and briefly in the majors. During some of these years playing in the minors Alston also taught industrial arts and general science at Washington Local High School in Lewistown, Logan County, Ohio. Alston taught and coached basketball at Washington Local from 1941-1950. The gymnasium at Indian Lake High School was renamed the Walter E. Alston Gym in honor of this great baseball manager."

• A lot of celebrities have lived in several places before they became know to a vast number of people. But, how important to their lives were these places? This is subjective, a lot of small towns and counties will claim that "X" lived here, but in their overall biography it may not mean that much to them and their story. It is like the old saying: "Washington slept here", just to get patrons to sleep at your hotel, or buy an old house.

• When you have a question like this, do some research and add the information if it contributes to the article. Saying that Alston taught school was part of his life, he refined skills teaching and coaching that helped him in managing the Dodgers. I think this would be a good addition to his article.
