Talk:Walter A. Coslet
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The original reason that I wrote this article is that someone (NOT me) added his name to the list of "notable figures in the history of fandom" in the article on science fiction fandom. I considered that a request for an article about my father, and without it I would never have written the article.
He was also a Bible collector, with one of the largest private collections of english translations of the bible in the world. More than 10,000 volumes and 1,000 translations (I bet you never knew that many english translation even existed) as of the time he quit updating his records back in the late 1960s. The current size of the collection is unknown.
The article does need more work on the subject of the contributions he made to those two fields and I would gladly welcome any expansion on those subjects by fans or collectors that knew him and his activities (my mother and I could really only provide personal information and a general outline). -- RTC 16:48, 5 October 2005 (UTC)
This article needs grammar/organizational cleanup. I added the tag to draw more attention and hopefully assistance. Please review Wikipedia:Notability (people) to see if Walter A. Coslet is notable enough to be included in wikipedia. If he qualifies, please add the claims of notability to this bio page. Thanks! Magdela 21:06, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
