Hersilia sp

Family: Hersilidae Distribution: Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, West Bengal, Myanmar, Philippines, Sri Lanka

Popularly called two tailed spider, It feeds on moths, ants, and other smaller spiders. Cocoon is generally laid in the holes crevices of tress. It can be easily identified by its long spinnerets.
