This article says it is both public and private. Does someone know the answer so it can be corrected? SuperCzar 22:29, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

It is a peculiarity of British usage that a public school is completely the opposite to the US usage, I've now linked the word to the relevant article which may clear things up. David Underdown 08:22, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
