[edit] Plot

SpongeBob discovers that his breakfast cereal has an offer for a free toy. Once he responds to the offer, he must wait patiently for the toy to arrive. SpongeBob is getting impatient, so he sets up camp right next to his mailbox, determined to be present when the mailman shows up with his treasure. He gets frustrated when Sandy and Gary distract him with feeding and karate, but eventually the toy arrives and Patrick "breaks" it, leaving SpongeBob furious. However, Squidward shows him later that its head, arms, and legs are supposed to spring off, and reattaches them.

[edit] Cultural References

  • The box saying "Free toy offer inside" is a parody of when cereals say there is a toy inside, but you must actually send in a few box tops, so you must actually pay for the toy since you must buy boxes of cereal.

[edit] Trivia/Goofs

  • This episode is featured on the DVD, "Friend Or Foe?" that will be released April 17, 2007.
  • This episode also aired with "Rise and Shine".
  • The cereal box said "Free Prize Inside", but, when looked at closely, it says "Offer" between "Prize" and "Inside" in tiny print.
  • In this episode Sandy's karate gloves are red, like SpongeBob's, instead of green.
  • The first time SpongeBob poured out a box of cereal in hope of a prize at the bottom, to find that there wasn't one inside, was in Shanghaied.
  • The toy Spongebob receives in the mail's head resembles a four-leaf clover.
  • When Patrick leaves and later comes back, he says it has only been twenty minutes and then the mailfish arrives again after just twenty minutes. Usually, the mailman only comes once a day.
  • This episode contains one of the few times Squidward is kind to Spongebob.
  • There's a book kind of like this, called "Special Delivery".
  • This episode was featured after 2007 Kids' Choice Awards
  • The Episode is simular as what happens at Rock Bottom
