Waite High School (Toledo, Ohio)

Waite High School is a public high school located in east Toledo, Ohio. It is part of the Toledo Public Schools. It is named after Morrison R. Waite, a Supreme Court Justice. Gloria Steinam, the famous feminist, is a Waite graduate.

Waite is a member of the Toledo City League. Their nickname is the Indians and their colors are purple, gold, and white. Waite is most famous for their storied football stadium, Jack Mollenkopf Stadium. The Indians have a rivalry with fellow East Toledo City League rival Clay.

Waite was a national high school football power in the 1920's, traveling as far as California. They were acclaimed to be a national high school football champion in 1927.
