[edit] Provenance?
This article has no provenance and the culture of origin is not identified. Has no value (or credibility) without these, because Polynesia is a huge area containing many distinct countries, languages, and cultures. The article also erroneously combines information from different languages without indicating which languages they are: Waiora, Vai-ola Kahuroa 23:03, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
Waiora is the name of a US-based MLM (multi-level marketing/pyramid sales) company that sells claimed anti-aging products. Such products are often promoted as coming from "exotic" parts of the world, being used for hundreds/thousands of years by native peoples, and similar claims that may have more to do with marketing than truth. "Waiora" can mean life or health in the Maori language but is not the name of a Maori goddess that I am aware of. The major god Tane, who is the equivalent of Kane in Hawaiian mythology, has one aspect in which he is called Tane-te-waiora. This name refers to Tane as the personification of sunlight, not health. 24.8.51.73 00:38, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
