I made this 3d map myself (Vality7@gmail.com) using a recent(2005-2006) orthophoto map overlayed over SRTM radar elevation data.

The map is available free from here - http://www.linz.govt.nz/rcs/linz/pub/web/root/core/Topography/AerialAndOrthophotos/nztm/index.jsp The SRTM data is available free from here - ftp://e0srp01u.ecs.nasa.gov/srtm/version2/SRTM3/
