W. S. Stuckey, Jr.

Williamson Sylvester Stuckey, Jr. (born May 25, 1935 in Eastman, Georgia, United States) is a former Democratic Party United States Congressman and a businessman.
Stuckey graduated from Woodward Academy in 1952 and the University of Georgia (UGA) in Athens with a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in 1956 and a Juris Doctor in 1959.
He was President of the family chain of pecan and nut stores, Stuckey's from 1958 until 1966. In 1967 he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives and five consecutive terms until not seeking reelection in 1976. He returned to the family business shortly after leaving Congress when his family re-purchased the Stuckey's Corporation from Pet, Incorporated. He is now serving as Chairman of the Board of Stuckey's.
