[edit] Arnd Klawitter
I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Arnd Klawitter, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. - After reading the "What Wikipedia is not"-page and your three-word-explanation carefully, I don't see why the fact that - with all due respect - you do not know the actor in question does make him "not notable". Therefore I protest against your notion of deleting the page - on google alone the name got 23.300 hits. --Vully 00:28, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

- Hi. Please don't be offended by my questioning of the notability of Arnd Klawitter. I did put some research into it, even though, as you say, I no close to nothing as far as German theatre is concerned. You might want to have a look at Wikipedia:Notability (People) and the criteria listed there. Arnd Klawitter might be notable enough to be included in Wikipedia, but in that case, the article needs to explain why he is notable. Can you give any examples of magazines or newspapers with an article on him? Has there been a biography written about him? The 23,300 hits you got on Google were mainly pages including the two words Arnd and Klawitter at different places. If you add inverted quotes around the name, to search for the exact expression Arnd Klawitter, the number of results falls down to 765. I couldn't find him on Google News (in English nor German). According to IMDb, he has indeed appeared in U571 and Tatort, but in minor roles: he was "German Hydrophone Operator" on U571, and appeared in four episodes of Tatort between 1999 and 2005, but every time as a different character, suggesting that he is not a recurring guest. It should also be noted that only one other article in Wikipedia mentions him, the List of actors who played Nazis in movies. You state that his theatre work makes him notable enough to be included; could you please provide some evidence? Thanks for your time. Pruneautalk 01:06, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

- Hi, I hope I didn't sound to offended. As you can see from my other articles I'm more of an opera man. So the first thing that fascinated me about Arnd Klawitter was his speaking voice when I saw him on stage in Stuttgart about ten years ago - e. g. in Max Frisch's Andorra and always in the main (male) role.

- To your questions: I don't think that a written biography exists - the man has not yet turned 40 after all. But concerning his tv roles I can say that I have seen most of them, and therefore can assure you that - while his international appearances have really been in small roles - on tv he is always cast in leading or leading supporting roles. In three of those four Tatort episodes he was the murderer in the end - so he couldn't reappear in the same role, could he? But a notability as a good murderer i. e. character actor can start off career I think (examples: Kevin Spacey, John Malkovich).Vully 14:23, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
