In computing, vtwm is a simple but also highly customizable and extremely fast window manager created mainly by D. J. Hawkey and is one of twm's many descendants. D. J. Hawkey is now no longer alive, and the last release in September 2005 was by Callum Gibson.

vtwm is highly customizable, and can be changed to look however the user desires, though it might take some time. The menus and key shortcuts can be modified to run desired programs or do desired actions. Window management cycling can also be set up so that when the user clicks on a window, it won’t effect any of the windows on top of it.
