VS Knight Lamune & 40 Fire (VS騎士ラムネ&40炎 VS Kishi Ramune & 40 Honō?) is a Japanese TV anime series, sequel to 1990's NG Knight Lamune & 40. The character designer for the series was Tsukasa Kotobuki, noted for Saber Marionette. The show lasted 26 episodes.
The story follows the adventures of "Lamunedo" the son of Lamune (protagonist of Ng Lamune) .

Baba Lamunedo(Lamnedo, Lamunade) (Voiced by Takeshi Kusao) - Lamuendo bares a good resemblance to his father , since he is his son and the Hero of the series . He is different from Lamune. He is less interested in video games then his father but never the less amazed by them . He falls in love with more then one girl, apart from Parfait he develops sentimental feelings for Drum. He's acts very much like the typical shounen (Like Ash Ketchum from Pokémon (anime)). Despite that he has his own touches of originality .
Parfait(Pafe) (Voiced by Yuko Miyamura) - She one of the two "Shrine maidens" who brings Lamunedo into the Doki Doki space. She is rather bossy , and seems to have an assertive attitude . Towards Lamunedo (Whom she calls "Lamuness". Like Milk in the first series) she acts no different, but does get jealous , and angry when she sees her man with another girl. She has long magenta colored hair , and magenta eyes . And her color scheme is, you guessed it , magenta colored.
Cacao(Voiced by Kyoko Hikami) - Is the other "Shrine maiden" along with Parfait . She's timid and kind of oblivious to what is going on around her . Cacao isn't fearless and she can actually fight , witch is a surprise to the others because of her small and unconfident appearance . She has a pendant that helps their team find each and every "Otamagate".
Da cider(Voiced by Kazuki Yao) - It's the same , Da cider as before , for some reason he is around 19 years old when he should be about 30+ because of the time periods between NG Knight Lamune & 40 and VS Knight Lamune & 40 Fire . He meets up with the new Lamuness in the seccond episode after attempting to save him from Pheromone Lip and Narcist Dandy . And Of course he still loves Leska.
Tatakaze & Momokaze (Voiced by Takeshi Usao & Chisa Yokoyama) - A.K.A Lamune & Milk . They are married and very lovey dovey . They both hide under costumes since they don't want to many questions to be asked .
Narcist Dandy & Pheromone Lip(Voiced by Yasunori Matsumoto & Michiko Neya) - A grossely muscular man with a Busty Beauty . These two are the new comic relief duo of the series . They try (an generally fail) to stop Lamunedo from reaching Don Genosai .
Drum , Trumpet and Organ Symphony (Voiced by Yuka Imai (does Symphony as well as Drum) & Tomoko Kawakami )- They are a three cyborgs created to protect the Hero Lamuness , but for the first Lamuness. Lamune never awakened them in the series because he wasn't the one to find them. It was Lamunedo . Drum "Loves" the 1st hero through Lamunedo because they look alike. Trumpet is sweet and cute. And Symphony is gentle and pretty.
They are in many ways similar to Lime, Cherry and Bloodberry , witch is peculiar since the Saber Marionette J series is created by Satoru Akahori and made in the same year as Lamune Fire.
Don Genosai(Voiced by Kôzô Shioya) - The main villain mastermind in charge of resurrecting Abruham .

If you thought the series was over , think again . This time , it's Lamune's son who is transported into the Doki doki space by Parfait and Cacao the two "Shrine maidens" . Lamunedo got there after seeing "The Legend of Lamuness" that the two girls sold and brought him inside the CD . He is given PQ ,another annoying ball that won't shut up , upon arriving . PQ maybe annoying but it summons "Kaiser Fire" , the giant robot that Lamunedo has to pilot . However he can't pilot it alone he has to have the help of the second hero Da cider . With this Lamunedo , Da cider , Parfait and Cacao have to prevent the resurrection of the evil Abruham , who Lamune tried so desperately to kill in the past . And who are the three mysterious androids ? And , the strange Momokaze and Tatakaze ?

- All voice remain the same .
- Lamune and his son are , phisicaly very similar .
- Lamunedo often exclaims "Ore wa Ima morezuni nekketsu shiteru!!" Which was Lamune's most famous catch phrase.
- Tama-Q and PQ have the exact same voice actor (Satomi Koorogi).
- Lamune was the same age as Lamunedo when he was transported into the Doki doki space .
