VP MARKET is a private Lithuanian company, the operator of the largest retail trade network for the foodstuffs and manufactured goods in the Baltic States. The company was originally called "Vilniaus prekyba" (what the letters VP stand for, literally Vilnius' Trade). It is the second largest company in sales and services in Lithuania. It owns trade networks in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Romania and Bulgaria, which consists of the trade centers MAXIMA, MAXIMA X, MAXIMA XX, MAXIMA XXX, T-MARKET, BAZĖ, ALBINUTA. As the data of October 31, 2006 indicates, the company owns 198 trade centers in Lithuania, 105 trade centers in Latvia, 31 trade centers in Estonia, 9 trade centers in Romania and 13 trade centers in Bulgaria and almost 600 thousand buyers come to the company’s trade centers every day.
