Was marked for speedy but wasn't a candidate. Some lawyer who's written about Quebec sovereigntism and failed to be nominated as a local political candidate by his party. Article is verifiable, but the way it's buried in Google results suggests he's not exactly a big name in Canada. Weak delete for non-notability. — Gwalla | Talk 05:20, 12 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Writing a book about the possible division of an independent Quebec is enough to make one notable. I say keep. CJCurrie 18:55, 14 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. I'm now convinced of his notability and have wikified the piece. Samaritan 02:09, 15 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- And now that I think of it, he was seeking the Liberal nomination to run against the sitting Conservative Prime Minister of Canada in 1993 - for a related precedent that overwhelmingly survived vfd, see Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Rebecca Blaikie. Samaritan 02:26, 15 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- I agree with the points made by Samaritan. Keep. [[User:MacGyverMagic|Mgm|(talk)]] 21:52, Nov 15, 2004 (UTC)
- Changing my vote to keep. Notability has been established. — Gwalla | Talk 02:37, 16 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Ah, might as well keep. Alphax (talk) 04:19, Nov 17, 2004 (UTC)
