[edit] Vosk and Nazi collaboration

On the verge of surrendering to another faction involved in the Temporal Cold War, of which Crewman Daniels is a part, Vosk escapes to mid-20th century Earth. Unfortunately for Vosk, his temporal conduit allowed for only one-way travel; therefore, he is constrained to forge an alliance with the Nazis to procure material supplies for the construction of another "temporal conduit" which will allow him to travel back to his own time.

For his Nazi conspirators, Vosk promises super-weapons from the future. With Vosk's help, the Nazis have seen World War II go their way. Although plagued with resistance fighters, the Nazis have even gained control of the U.S. Eastern Seaboard and forced the United States government to retreat from Washington D.C. However, the price of collaboration with Vosk and his band is very high as the promises of super-weapons by Vosk, and consequently, Nazi dreams of wiping out American resistance once-and-for-all, are continuously delayed. It is quite clear that the reason for delaying the super-weapons is simply that Vosk distrusts the Nazis, he also does not share their dreams for humanity's future; he only helps them so they will give him appropriate technology and manpower to construct his temporal conduit so he and his men can return to their own time.

Vosk's aspirations of returning back to his own time and eradicating Daniels's faction never blossom. Crewman Daniels has sent Enterprise to 1944 Earth to prevent Vosk from constructing his temporal conduit. Captain Archer, with the help of Silik, infiltrate the New York City compounds of the alien's "Temporal conduit" and pinpoint its precise whereabouts. Meanwhile, Enterprise targets the temporal conduit as Vosk begins to step into it. Vosk is instantly killed in the resulting explosion.

With the destruction of Vosk and, consequently, this Nazi-dominated alternate timeline, Earth's history is returned to its present state.

[edit] Miscellaneous

Vosk first appears on-screen as a mysterious character at the final scene of season three's season finale entitled "Zero Hour".

Some speculated that Vosk may be the mysterious Future Guy who frequently appeared in early episodes of the show, manipulating the Suliban to further his own ends. Neither Vosk nor Future Guy's factions were allied with (or, for that matter, directly opposed to) the Sphere Builders; they were just another faction in the war. Future Guy is said to be unable to actually travel in time (we only see an indistinct image appear on a monitor), similar to Vosk, and Vosk's death has apparently put a final end to the war.

Vosk wears the SS uniform of a lieutenant colonel (Oberstleutnant). His SS rank would be Obersturmbannführer (senior storm-unit leader).
