Vortex Science Fiction and Fantasy Film Festival is a film festival presented by the Rhode Island International Film Festival which will have its first showing on May 27, 2006, in Providence, Rhode Island, United States. This festival will feature not only independently produced films, but will have a special side bar for fan-films, with a special section for Star Wars and Star Trek productions. As of December 2005, sponsorship has already been gained from Star Log Magazine, with more soon to be added.
