The Volvo FH is truck model manufactured by Volvo Trucks for heavy use. Volvo introduced FH cab at 1993 thus replacing old F-serie. Volvo FM-series share same design, but uses lower version of the FH cab. FH cab is available either at low roof or at two different height extended roof versions. Originally FH serie included FH12 and FH16 models where 12 and 16 refers to the engine displacement in liters. Volvo FH cab was heavily facelifted at 2002 [1]. Since 2006 Volvo FH12 was discontinued, and it was replaced with mildy facelifted Volvo FH, which no longer has engine volume in model name. New Volvo FH has an 13 litre engine developed from old 12 litre engine by increasing stroke length.

Volvo FH12 has been given the 'Truck of the Year' award at 1994 and second time at 2000. [2]
