The Volkspark Mariendorf is appropriate for local part Mariendorf in Berlin Tempelhof, and is 1924 built. There is a small hill, a well with bronze child figures and 3 lakes (Eckernpfuhl, Bluehmelteich, Karpfenpfuhl). In addition there is a rose garden in the summer. In the eastern part is a pathfinder tower and an animal enclosure. Not to survey the so-called "Volksparkstadium Berlin" (10,000 spectators), the fifth-largest stadium of Berlin. There the best crew plays in the 6. League. In addition it gives a closed Hockeyplace. The attractive at the park is however that annually at Whitsuntide taking place "international culture desire garden" for three day with numerous cultural events and attractions, which attracts visitors from all citizen of Berlin districts and from the surrounding countryside. From 3-5 June 2006 a play celebration for children and a "Rocktreff" take place, the largest amateur band competition in Berlin with laser show etc. in the Volksparkstadium.
