The previous version of this article stated the following:

Volvulus is more common in children than adults, and is the second-leading cause of short bowel syndrome (following Crohn's disease).

However, my source (indicated in the article) states exactly the following:

A life-threatening obstruction in which the bowel twists on itself (volvulus) with occlusion of the blood supply occurs most frequently in middle-aged and elderly men.

For the time being, I've removed the old reference in favor of the new, sourced reference. If there is another reference that supports the previous statement, we should re-visit the reference and discuss the issue further. -- backburner001 21:11, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
