VoKEE is a California-based alternative rock band featuring former The Apex Theory vocalist and System of a Down drummer, Ontronik Khatchaturian (formerly known by the nickname "Andy").

[edit] Biography

After leaving The Apex Theory in November 2002, VoKEE vocalist Ontronik began a short-lived solo project, collaborating with the likes of Alien Ant Farm's Dryden Mitchell and Dredg's Gavin Hayes. Not finding what he was looking for musically, however, Ontronik put his solo project on an indefinite hiatus and founded VoKEE in early 2004. For a brief period the band featured Onesidezero bassist Cristian Hernandez, before he left the band to reunite with Onesidezero.

In 2005, VoKEE released a free promotional EP entitled Pre-Motional Songs at local shows and to members of the band's "Street Brigade" (promotional street team) or anyone else who e-mailed the band requesting the disc. In 2006, VoKEE released another promotional disc at shows, this time including three new songs.

Currently, "Angels", "Hands Of Time", "Signs" and "Ocean" can be downloaded from the band's official website. In mid-2006, VoKEE released a music video for the track Angels available for download off of their website. Also around the same time period, VoKEE released an official DVD entitled timelines'n'virtual. A new track entitled "Sorrow" can also be heard on the band's Myspace page.
