Vmigo

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Vmigo is a black and white (with the screen glowing green or blue) handheld video game released in 2006. The user is allowed to adopt 1 or more dogs and care for them. It is similar to Nintendogs. You can use money (in the game, they are called Pet Points) to buy things for the dog. There is also a wireless mode that allows the user to play with their friends' dog(s). There is a docking system available that allows the user to play with their dog(s) on the TV in color and with more features and minigames. The handheld ($30) and docking system ($30) are sold separately, but there is an expensive package that contains both ($50). Only the Golden Retriever one can come with a docking station right now.

There's three kinds of dogs in a Vmigo with the screen glowing green:

  • Chihuahua
  • Pug
  • Black Labrador

There's three other kinds in the one with the screen glowing blue:

  • Golden Retriever
  • German Shepherd
  • Yorkshire Terrier

Pretty soon they will have a Vmigo with cats. All there is to know is that the tabby leads it.

There are also 2 things that come with the pod. A virtual friend belt clip and stickers to decorate your pod.

There is also a built-in pedometer. It is used for the Walk Mode, where you attach the clip to the pod and slip the clip into your pocket. You can earn a certain number of Pet Points depending on how many steps you have taken:

  • 10 steps - 1 Pet Point
  • 100 steps - 10 Pet Points
  • 1,000 steps - 100 Pet Points
  • 10,000 steps - 1,000 Pet Points
  • 100,000 steps - 10,000 Pet Points
