Vladivostok Avia

Vladivostok Avia (also known as Vladivostok Air) is an airline based in Vladivostok, Russia. It operates scheduled domestic flights and international flights to China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam. VIP flights and helicopter services are also provided. Its main base is Vladivostok International Airport (VVO).

The airline started operations in 1994 and in 2003 merged with Khakasia Airlines incorporating its fleet and route network. It is owned by the State (51%) and Vladivostok Air employees (48%).

Vladivostok Avia operates the following services (at December 2006)^{[citation needed]}:

• Domestic scheduled destinations: Abakan, Ekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk, Krasnodar, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatski, Sochi, St Petersburg, Ufa, Yakutsk and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
• International scheduled destinations: Bangkok, Beijing, Busan, Dalian, Hanoi, Harbin, Niigata, Osaka, Seoul, Toyama, Tokyo and Kitakyushu.

In July 2001, Vladivostok Avia Flight 352, a Tupolev Tu-154 belonging to Vladivostok Avia crashed while attempting to land in Irkutsk, Russia, killing all 145 people aboard.^{[citation needed]}

The Vladivostok Avia fleet includes the following aircraft (at August 2006) ^[2] :

• 9 Tupolev Tu-154M
• 4 Tupolev Tu-204-300 (plus 2 on order)
• 9 Yakovlev Yak-40

The airline was scheduled to take delivery of its first Airbus A320 in November 2006 under a lease agreement with International Lease Finance Corporation. It will be used on international services from Vladivostok to Niigata and Hanoi, and on domestic services to Yakutsk, Irkutsk and to Krasnodar via Novosibirsk. A second A320 will be delivered in March 2007, two in 2008 and a further two in 2009 ^[3].
