Vladislav Petrovich Krapivin (Russian: Владислав Петрович Крапивин) - Russian writer, the author of the books about the children and for the children.

Vladislav Petrovich Krapivin was born in the city of Tyumen on 14 October 1938. He finished the department of journalism of the Ural State University. Even during the studies he was accepted to work in the newspaper "Evening Sverdlovsk", several years worked in the periodical "Ural Pathfinder". From 1965 he is a full time writer. The first book, Voyage of Orion was printed by the Sverdlovsk publishing house in 1962. There were released more than 200 publications of Krapivin's books on different languages.

The laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Prize, literary reward Aelita, the Arkady Gaidar's reward and many others. He is rewarded with orders the order of Working Red Znameni, Druzhby of peoples, by medal "for the valiant labor", by the sign VLKSM - ALL-UNION LENIN YOUNG COMMUNIST LEAGUE. Honorable citizen of city Yekaterinburg.
