Vladimir "The Janitor" Matyushenko (born January 1, 1971 in Rečyca, Belarus) is a Belarusian mixed martial arts fighter, and a veteran of the UFC. Matyushenko is a former heavyweight champion in the IFC, and also winner of IFC's Battle on the Bayou 8 man tournament in 1997. He is currently a Light Heavyweight for the Tokyo Sabres of the International Fight League.
Nicknamed "The Janitor" because he 'cleans up' during his matches, Matyushenko is an accomplished freestyle wrestling athlete and utilized his wrestling background extensively in his fights. He became a Junior College All-American at Lassen College, before moving on to the University of Nevada, where he was two-time national wrestling champion, graduating with a degree in Health Science in 1999.
His notable wins include Pedro Rizzo, Yuki Kondo, Vernon White, and an impressive dominating performance over Brazilian standout Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
