Vladimir Dinets

Vladimir Dinets (born in Moscow in 1969) is well-travelled zoologist and also a travel writer. He is known in academic circles for dogged persistence and startling success in finding many rare species of animals. His travel accounts are renowned throughout Russia for their adventurous spirit and amusing style.
Dinets is a graduate of the Moscow Technical University. He moved to the United States in 1997. As of 2005, he was a doctoral candidate at the University of Miami.
