Vladimir Valer'evich Bure (Russian: Владимир Валерьевич Буре) (born December 4, 1950 in Norilsk, USSR) is a retired Soviet Olympic swimmer and a fitness coach for the New Jersey Devils of the NHL.

Bure trained in Moscow at Lokomotiv and later at the Armed Forces sports society. A championship swimmer, received one Silver and two Bronze Medals at 1972 Olympics and one Bronze in 1968...Was European Champion two times and a 17-time Soviet champion...Also won three Silver Medals during the 1973 and 1975 World Championships.
Was swimming coach of Red Army club for six years (1979-85)...Was also vice president of Exsport club (1985-91); where he was in charge of the administration of eight different sports.

First came to North America in 1991. Spent four seasons (1994-98) as fitness consultant with Vancouver Canucks. In the summer of 1999 he joined the as Devils fitness consultant.
He has won 2 Stanley Cups with New Jersey in 2000 and 2003.

He is the father of NHL players Pavel and Valeri Bure.
