Vladimír Železný

Vladimír Železný (born in Samara, Russia) is a media businessman and politician in the Czech Republic, the founder of TV NOVA.
In 2002 elected to the Czech Senate, in 2004 to the European Parliament. He was unsuccessfuly seeking re-election in the June 2006 Czech Parliament elections (Chamber of Deputies).
He is a founder of some political groups and parties. The latest called Independent Democrats (Nezávislí demokraté) founded in 2005.
