I'm Vincent Docherty, born 1961 in Scotland and though born in a Paisley hospital, (making me a 'Paisley buddy'), I always lived in and grew up in Glasgow.
I studied Chemistry at Strathclyde University and then did research in Quantum Mechanics at the same University, sponsored by ICI.
I started working at Shell in 1987 and my career has taken me to London, Oman and The Netherlands: first Groningen and currently Den Haag.
My main interest is Science Fiction, in all its forms, and my main claim to fame so far was co-chairing two Worldcons: Intersection, in 1995 and Interaction in 2005.
I find Wikipedia extremely interesting and a useful resource. I have created some small pages related to my SF interests and try to edit existing SF pages where I can add value.
