[edit] Abraham Zabludovsky

I'm going to move him back to Abraham Zabludovsky (he is the original and 1st Abraham). Jacobo Zabludovsky's son can be Abraham Zabludovsky (journalist). ---> Sagitario 03:39, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

Even if the architect was the first, the journalist is the more known. I think having the page as a disambiguation is the best option so Abraham Zabludovsky actually points to both. As it was many articles were pointing to Abraham Zabludovsky as the journalist, no the architect. --Vizcarra 03:42, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
For the disambiguation can be Abraham Zabludovsky (disambiguation). ---> Sagitario 03:46, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
Favoring one over the other one is POV. I am inclined to think that the architect is the less famous, based on a google test and a "links here" test, more point to the journalist. --Vizcarra 03:48, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Attempt to remove all Jewish lists

Hi. An attempt is being made to force the deletion of all Jewish lists from Wikipedia. Please see the discussion at Wikipedia_talk:Centralized_discussion/Lists_by_religion-ethnicity_and_profession#Proposed_amendment:_remove_most_Jewish-related_lists and my compromise proposals at Wikipedia_talk:Centralized_discussion/Lists_by_religion-ethnicity_and_profession#Proposal_to_make_Jewish_lists_and_categories_historical_only. Thanks Arniep 10:01, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Pri logo.PNG

To let you know, I replaced that image with Image:PRI logo.png. If you are alright with this, I wish to delete the old PRI logo image. Zach (Smack Back) Fair use policy 01:59, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

The problem with that is that the colors are wrong. I imagine you used to exact tones of the Mexican flag, but the colors of the PRI are not the same, although still green, white and red. I have created another image (obtained from the PRI website) that has the correct colors and does not look pixelated: Image:PRI logo.PNG. --Vizcarra 16:51, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Chivas futbol

Can you tell me where to get info on the current InterLiga for a place in this year's Copa Libertadores. John wesley 02:36, 12 January 2006 (UTC) Also will Walter Gaitan get naturalized to play for los Tricolores? What is the feud between Ricardo LaVolpe and Cuautohmoc Blanco? John wesley 02:36, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

The thing with Cuauhtémoc Blanco is that he has a difficult attitute to work with. He's a great player but he's moody and likely to get a yellow card here and there. He and Lavolpe have never got along.
About Walter Gaitán, Lavolpe already asked him to start the citizenship process, so let's see.
For the interliga you can try interliga.com --Vizcarra 00:40, 13 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 100 mexicanos dijeron board game

Do you know which cities have stores that stock it? I want one. John wesley 00:29, 13 January 2006 (UTC)

You can find it here online (if you speak Spanish, and if you don't then it would be tough to play) :) --Vizcarra 00:34, 13 January 2006 (UTC)
It's not so bad. I got a dictionary. Menciona Algo... Menciona una palabra... Ademas... It's good for learning John wesley 21:08, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Basques

Since you've shown an interest, do you think you might sort out matters betwen Basque diaspora and Basque people? I don't really care if we end up with one article or two, but right now I believe that upwards of 80% of what is in Basque diaspora is duplicated in Basque people. My suspicion is that the easiest thing is to merge the small remainder and turn Basque diaspora into a redirect; the alternative would be to edit down this material in Basque people to a summary and then use {{main}} to connect it to Basque diaspora. Either way, keep in mind that Basque people more or less fits the form dictated by Wikipedia:WikiProject Ethnic groups.

I'd love to see this settled out one way or the other, right now it is in limbo.

Please drop me a note to indicate either that you will or won't take this on. -- Jmabel | Talk 02:43, 13 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mexican American singers

This category has been nominated for deletion. If you are interested in keeping it please vote here Wikipedia:Categories for deletion/Log/2006 January 11#Category:Mexican American singers. Regards Arniep 22:13, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Films in Spanish

Hello. Yes, I noticed that there was already Category:Spanish language films about 10 minutes after I created Category:Films in Spanish. I hadn't seen it previously as it wasn't a subcat of Category:Films by language. I am planning to nominate it for a merge but I am waiting to see if there is a consensus on the naming of all these cats. I had already nominated all other the "Films by language" cats that don't have the name-format "Films in X" for rename. (See Wikipedia:Categories_for_deletion#Films by language. My own preference will be to merge both cats to one called Category:Films in Spanish as I consider this to be a neater title. (IMO, "Spanish-language" films requires a hyphen for starters). So far there is a consensus to rename cats to this format. If you have a strong preference for the format "X-language films" you might like to vote this way. Valiantis 00:40, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, i didnt even knwo there was a Category:Categories by language. I do prefer X-language films as it sounds more professional, I think. But regardless, there should be one naming convention, you are right. --Vizcarra 01:05, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Telefutura

Telefutura is a network. It has multiple affiliates in the US. For example, WFUT-TV in New York and WFPA-CA in Boston. --CFIF 23:00, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] User:Vizcarra/images

Hi, I took the liberty of turning all the fair use images on this gallery page into links instead (you may want to tweak the layout a bit more, not sure how you would prefeer to have it). This because Wikipedia policy does not allow fair use images to be displayed on userpages or subpages thereof (see the fair use link above). Sorry for the inconvenience, but such are the rules. Thanks for understanding. --Sherool (talk) 16:28, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

No it's fine. Thanks for the head up. --Vizcarra 16:42, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Desafuero, Lopez-Obrador

what is the status of the case? John wesley 22:10, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

Almost completely dead. And Mariano Azuela of the Supreme Court of Mexico didn't like it that much because although it is a complicated topic (because of the ambiguous condition of the Mexican Federal District as a city/state AMLO cannot be easily prosecuted. --Vizcarra 22:14, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Comment

Hello Vizcarra,

I have posted a comment on the DIF talk page related to your previous edits

Saludos, --Abögarp 23:11, 24 January 2006 (UTC) ....Im now using the four tildes :)

Haha, easier huh? Yeah, I just read and responded like a minute ago. Thanks, --Vizcarra 23:13, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Emigrants - inmigrants categories

I've replaced the Category:Argentine emigrants category you created before noting it is a common scheme. I haven't (stil) reverted things back because I see a problem with this schem: an example (though not with México) is Ernesto Sabato, who happens to be both Italian and Argentine citizen, yet he was born and lives in Argentina, thus he is not an emigrant. He is labeled as Category:Italian-Argentines, which is right since he is both, but you can't say he is an Italian emigran either. Wouldn't it be easier to have Category:Argentine people with another nationality or so categories? Thanks, and sorry again for not taking a better look to things before. By the way, not all those categories are named emigrants; see Category:Serbian diaspora. Mariano(t/c) 19:26, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

Yes, Sabato is not an Argentine emigrant. He is Italian-Argentine not because he was born in Italy but because he is a descendant of Italians. The Category:Italian-Argentines has to group Italian-born and Italian-descendants into a single one, until it becomes large enough that it would warrant creating a second category. It just takes time to organize these categories, but the emigrant categories are meant for people who have emigrated to other countries. --Vizcarra 19:32, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Lola Beltrán

Image:WikiThanks.pngThank you for writing the article. It's been on my list for quite a while.--Rockero420 22:13, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

Hey no problem. I wonder how nobody beat me to it... she's "La Grande", you know. You are welcome to improve it if you'd like. --Vizcarra 22:25, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

I'm happy to see that tasks template is being put to good use. Good work! -- Rune Welsh | ταλκ 23:02, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

I just "discovered" it recently. I'm glad that there is one now. --Vizcarra 23:03, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
