Vittla is small town around 18 Km from Bantwal Taluk. It is also 14 Km from Puttur and 40 Km from mangalore.

This Central Plantation Crops Research Institute (CPCRI) which is the Regional Station conducts research in arecanuts which is basic commercial crop.

There is diverse population from different religions Hindus, Muslims and Catholics and it doesn't end here different languages Tulu, Konkani, Kanada and Malayalam.

There is Puttaparthi Sai Baba volantary Super Speciality Hospital located near by which provides good medical facilities to the localites. Panchalingeshwara temple and anantheshwara temples are located here.
