Vitelotte
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Vitelotte (also called Negrèsse or Truffle de Chine) is a ancient and very rare species (quite like an heirloom rose) of blue-violet potato.
[edit] History
Originally from Peru and Bolivia, the Vitelotte species is still commonly grown there. It is supposed that they are a 200 year old mix of ancient types of Peruvian potatoes.
