[edit] Synopsis
The Moyans discover that a Luxan shaman, called an Orican, is on a nearby planet, and take D'Argo to see her. She reveals that D'Argo is a fraud--he has tattoos that indicate he is a general, but he's not really a general. D'Argo explains that he engaged in the fraud not for personal benefit, but the divert attention in a battle away from the true general, risking his own life in the general's place. The Orican selects D'Argo to take part in a sacred ritual to help her to cross over to death. During the ritual, the Orican senses what she thinks is D'Argo's life force and, believing it be be extremely powerful, she draws energy from it and transforms into a beautiful young woman. Unfortunately, she has actually drawn the energy from Moya, causing Moya to quickly age to near-death, which endangers the crew because her hull has become so fragile that holes keep opening; Rygel is trapped in one. Chiana is trapped while washing clothes when Moya's amnexis fluid solidifies around her legs. John continues to act a bit erratic and strange due to his experiences in the Aurora chair. He and Aeryn fight to restore Moya to health, but the Orican, who has begun a passionate relationship with D'Argo, feels her life is worth more than Moya's. Finally, she is convinced of what she must do, rejuvenates Moya, goes through the ceremony with D'Argo, and dies.
