Vitali Golod

Vitali Golod (born 23 June 1971) an Ukrainian–Israeli chess master.

In 1988, he tied for 13-14th in Kharkov (UKR-ch). Golod was Ukrainian Champion in 1991. Then he moved to Israel.

In 2002, he tied for 6-8th in Tel Aviv (ISR-ch; Ilya Smirin, Boris Avrukh and Zvulun Gofshtein won). In 2004, he tied for 1st-2nd with Sergei Erenburg in Ramat Aviv (ISR-ch). In 2004, he won in Santa Monica. In 2005, he took 7th in Montreal (Victor Mikhalevski won). In 2006, he won in Schaumburg (GM-B section) and shared 3rd at the Monarch Isle of Man International (behind Alexander Areshchenko and Segey Volkov).
