I would like to make some contributions in the area of the Theology of the Priesthood and Clerical celibacy in the Catholic Church.
I am a Catholic priest at the University of Notre Dame.
"Vita, Dulcedo, et Spes" is part of an opening line of the Salve Regina. It means "(Our) Life, (Our) Sweetness and (Our) Hope" in reference to the Blessed Mother. It was the favorite hymn of soon to be "Blessed" Fr. Basil Moreau, CSC, founder of the Congregation of Holy Cross which founded the University of Notre Dame. The phrase is also Notre Dame's institutional motto.
