Visions-A Tribute to Burzum is a compilation album, released by Unholy Records, of covers of songs by the infamous black metal band Burzum.
[edit] Politics
Varg Vikernes, the sole member of Burzum, is known to be an active neo-nazi sympathiser, even though this has been discredited, with a history of violent crime including arson and murder. The label this album is distributed on has clear links to the American National Alliance. However, the extent to which the bands on this CD follow these ideals is unknown: Some are known as supporters of the extreme right whilst at least one has vehemently spoken out against racism, being fans of Burzum simply for the music, which has received high critical acclaim throughout the black metal community. Therefore, it is incorrect to assume that any band follows any sort of politics merely by their inclusion on this album.
