Vision magazine

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Vision Magazine: Ministering through Multimedia is the leading publication for churches seeking to use multimedia and creativity effectively in their ministries. Established in 2003 with their first 2 issues, Vision Magazine expanded to quarterly publication the following year. The magazine offers insights into churches on the cutting edge, from medium-sized congregations to some of the fastest-growing large churches in the United States. Churches featured include Fellowship Church in Grapevine, TX, Crossroads Church in Corona, CA, Lifechurch.tv in Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and on the web, and North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, GA.

With the Spring 2006 issue in May of that year, Vision Magazine became the first church media print magazine to make the switch to e-zine and webzine. Subscription is free to those who register and they have a membership level as well. In June 2006, Vision Magazine launched the first Vision Extra, a minimag issued the months in between the quarterly issues.

One of the innovations of Vision's e-zine is that the recipients can choose to read the articles on HTML pages or on web-based PDF pages that are laid out and designed like the original magazine. The PDFs are in either low resolution for computer reading or high resolution for printing.

In addition to the articles, Vision Magazine's webzine contains videos and graphics submitted by various churches and video clips of the interviews they've had with staff from the churches they've visited.
