Vishwanath

Vishwanath (also spelt Viswanath or Vishvanath) is another name of the Hindu god, Lord Shiva and literally means "Lord of the universe".
The word may also refer to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple – a major Hindu temple located in Varanasi, India dedicated to Lord Shiva.
It is also a name of Hindu origins and may refer to the following people:
- Vishwanath Pratap Singh, the tenth Prime Minister of India.
- Balaji Vishwanath, the first of the Bhat-family Peshwas of the Maratha Empire.
- G. R. Viswanath, an Indian cricketer.
- H. Vishwanath, an Indian politician from Karnataka.
- K. Viswanath, a Telugu film director.
- Paranjape Prakash Vishvanath, an Indian politician from Maharashtra.
