After a long absence fighting overseas, Whitney returns to everybody's surprise and, claiming to have lost some of his memory during battle, tries to get back together with Lana, apparently not knowing about the Dear John letter she sent earlier. Not wanting to hurt him, Lana submits to his attempts to win her back but Clark has suspicions about the true identity of Whitney Fordman.
