This template is to be used per the instructions at Portal:Visual arts/Selected image.

Image is the image link itself, typically in the form of xyz.jpg.
Size is desired size of the image. If left blank, defaults to 275px, which is a good starting point. Note that the desired size can vary widely depending on the vertical/horizontal dimensions of the picture. Care should be given to not have the image overwhelm or underwhelm the portal page.
Caption is a brief informational blurb, no more than a few words (title and artist). It is not the displayed text, which is under text.
Text is the main caption that will be displayed below the picture. If at all possible, the text should highlight a single Wikipedia entry best illustrated by the selected image. Make the wikilink to that entry bold. Text should be no more than two to three sentences.
Credit is used to provide attribution to the source of the image. Wikilinks or external links, as appropriate, can be employed here.
