The following highways in Virginia have been known as State Route 48:
State Route 48 (Virginia 1928), 1928 - mid-1930s, now part of State Route 40
U.S. Route 48 (Virginia), early 2000s - present
SR 48 is also an unsigned designation for the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive from North Carolina to U.S. Route 340 near Front Royal.
