Virgin of Paris

The Virgin of Paris, dating from the early 14th century, is sometimes called one of the most decorative statues in all of Catholicism. It is in honor of the Blessed Virgin, mother of Jesus.
The statue was commissioned for, and still resides in, the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris.
