Virgil Township, Illinois

Virgil Township is located on the western edge of Kane County, Illinois at 41.925517 N, -88.562408 W. It is a 6 mile square, of which 35.029911 square miles are land and 0.00928 are water. Its population in the 2000 Census was 1,947. It has 727 housing units. Its land use is agricultural.

It includes the Villages of Maple Park and Virgil.
