fauna by state
You might be interested in current proposal to delete all the 'fauna by state' categories. So far, I am one of few to oppose this. Hmains 03:54, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
look at any one of the 'fauna of (state)' categories and see the notice at the top. It says see 'this category's entry' . Click on that. For some reason, this points to the wrong date of the delete list. At the left top of the delete list, see October 13; click on that. You will now see the delete list that includes all the fauna categories. Hmains 04:21, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
if you do not agree with the deletions, you can edit the entry on the deletion page to 'keep all' Thanks Hmains 16:32, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
Quake
I see that you are from Hawaii and was wondering if you have any Impact pictures from the 2006 Hawaii earthquake, thanks. Hello32020 20:32, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

burrito template
hey viriditas, sorry it's taken me so long to respond--i like the burrito timeline a lot. couldn't manage to place this comment on the talk page for some reason. only suggestion would be to place the taquerias, etc, geographically as well as in time, since folks who don't live in the Bay Area won't know what La Cumbre is, etc. best regards Joewright 21:36, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Your edit to The Prestige
I would like to thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thanks again. --Erik (talk/contrib) @ 17:28, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
assessment system done; still need help
Viriditas,
The assessment system for Wikipedia:WikiProject Hawaii is all done and 100% functional. It still needs help from 1 editor and 1 admin. Some details are on Wikipedia Talk:WikiProject Hawaii. I'll fill you in on more details when you see this...--Ling.Nut 16:37, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- HI again,
- I've already ranked [[[Hawaii]], Native Hawaiians and spam musubi, just to get the ball rolling. But what needs to be done now is:
- To do (editing):
- Copy Wikipedia:WikiProject Ethnic groups/Assessment. Modify it to meet the needs of this project (esp. remove text about "needs-infobox", since this project doesn't have one; plus also alter the text about what makes something top-high-mid-low importance). Put the modified text here:
Wikipedia:WikiProject Hawaii/Assessment - Do the same for Template talk:Ethnic groups; place modified version on the talk page of the WikiProject Hawaii banner.--Ling.Nut 00:29, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
Robert Altman
I've emailed Robert to confirm the status of his images. --Salix alba (talk) 08:40, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
how relatively inactive?
Hi,
I just followed the link on WikiProject Hawaii's project page to vote for Hula as "Collaboration of the week".. then after voting saw the nomination was a year old.. and the Collaboration of the Week project is dead... umm.. does anyone maintain that page at all? --Ling.Nut 23:20, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- ...Then just let me know if there's any way I can help with the updating. I've made sidebars before (see my pet project, Taiwanese aborigines), etc. I already did a little minor cleanup and added a border to the WikiProject Hawaii page...
- Cheers!--Ling.Nut 01:27, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
Article about Wikipedia Users
Hello,
I am a freelance writer working on an article about the wide array of people who make Wikipedia their life, their passion, their pastime. Wikipedia “addicts” if you will. I’m looking for people just willing to tell their story of how they got sucked into the intellectual whirlwind that is Wikipedia; how you got started editing, how the obsession grew, and what you spend your time focusing on these days? Do you write articles from scratch? Is your main push toward one particular type of article? Do you patrol for typos and errors, or spend your time diligently fixing vandalism? Do you take part in the “social aspects” of Wikipedia; engaging in animated discussions or decorating your user page with all sorts of internet memes? Have you ever forced yourself to take a “Wikipedia break”? If so, what’s your 20/20 hindsight on the obsession? Basically I’m just trying to get an idea of what it’s like for various Wikipedia “addicts.” If you are interested in participating, please email me at brianwrites@gmail.com
If anybody else, other than this user is interested in participating, feel free to email me as well. This article is intended to be a light informational piece, nothing too heavy or controversial, just merely introducing readers to a subculture that they likely had no idea existed. So please don’t email me with your conspiracy theories, or your grudge against the Wikipedia hierarchy… unless it directly applies to your overall experience with the site. This article is about the USERS, not about the pros and cons of the site itself.
Thanks,

Your break
Hey Mr V. I hope you have a safe and restful break. But don't be gone for too long! :) Best wishes, Sarah Ewart (Talk) 08:04, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
