[edit] Evidence

Hey Viriditas, Here's a bit of evidence to keep track of somewhere in this: [18] [19]Bunchofgrapes (talk) 00:29, 28 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Deleted discussions

Note: This discussion was moved from Eddie's talk page because he continued to delete it [20] with the excuse that he's "moved on" or that he's archiving. Unfortunately, it's never been linked to his talk page (but Eddie has finally archived it here) so I'm keeping a copy of it here, just in case.

The discussion was orginally entitled "Lets Go Yankees", but Eddie changed it. Lets Go Yankees is the name of a suspected confirmed sock puppet of Eddie Segoura:

[edit] Viriditas & Sarah Ewart

Please stop reverting this page. --Viriditas 04:04, 28 November 2005 (UTC)

Please don't talk to Me again. Lately, all of Your talk to Me had been about "sockpuppets" and other silly stuff and it's making My wiki life miserable. Unless You have something good to say, I don't want to talk to You. -- EddieSegoura 04:17, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
I'm not "making" you violate Wikipedia policies, Eddie. Please don't blame me for your own misbehavior. As for the sock puppet accounts that you are using, they are not allowed to be used on AfD and they are not allowed to be used in revert wars. You were informed of this multiple times but you continued to do it and to this day you continue to do it. You have made your own wiki life miserable, Eddie, not me. Take responsibility for your own actions. Currently you are simultaneously editing as EddieSegoura and Lets Go Yankees. I suggest you choose an account and stick with it. Until that time, I will continue to categorize your multiple accounts as suspected sock puppets because they are being used to violate Wikipedia policy. --Viriditas 04:31, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
If You're going to continue looking at Me as a "sockpuppet" then I have no reason to talk to You anymore. I also stated I will stop posting in that AfD discussion (thanks to You). I've suffered enough negetivity from You and I don't need You to make things worse for Me. - EddieSegoura 04:35, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
Eddie, I honestly don't think you are a bad person. You have a great sense of humor and you obviously have many interests. But, I feel that you are abusing Wikipedia, especially the nice people who offer you good will, trust, and the benefit of the doubt. Look at all the people who posted on the AfD, just to find out that you were wasting our time. You said you were going to post a reference, but you used your sock puppet account to do it (User:BestBuy25) [21] because you knew that if someone checked up on the source, they would discover that you made it up. That was very sneaky, Eddie. I think you are using your sock puppets to avoid taking responsibility for your actions, so that when one gets "blamed", all you have to do is stop using that account and move on to the next one. Essentially, you are having sock puppets do your dirty work for you. Well, it won't work, Eddie, and it only makes you look like a mean person who enjoys violating the trust that other Wikipedians have given you. Is that how you want people to think of you, Eddie? --Viriditas 04:52, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
Oh, I'm not a mean person, just upset that you continue look at me as someone that likes to drive people crazy and make people suffer. If you truly feel that way, I have no reason to speak to you.
But it seems to Me that You're making Me suffer by "sockpuppeting" Me. It seems like that's the only subject you can bring up when you write to Me. I also said I'd put the AfD page behind me and move on. (That "AfD" page should have been closed already.)
Look, I don't even need to talk to you to read and edit pages, anyway. - EddieSegoura 06:01, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
Eddie, I agree with everything Viriditas has said and I think you should go away and think about it carefully.Sarah Ewart 05:09, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
Well, I'll just use Wikipedia without talking to You. I'm not here to vandilise pages and ruin people's hard work. I'm here to give give useful edits to page on subjects I know, especially the Subway I ride every day. -- EddieSegoura 06:01, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
That's fine, Eddie. I don't mind at all if you don't speak to me. I have tried to be nice to you and even came here to try to help you. However, if you keep creating hoax articles about made-up words and trolling with sockpuppets, then you will continue bumping into us. Sarah Ewart 12:46, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
Also, Eddie, for your own personal security, it might not be a good idea to have personal information, such as your place of employment etc on your user page. Sarah Ewart 12:56, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
I don't think you do want to ruin other people's hard work. You said you don't want to talk to me anymore, and I'm just telling you that if you continue to create hoax articles (ie exicornt) and using sockpuppets (Lets Go Yankees, BestBuy25, etc) then you will no doubt continue bumping into us. I am willing to put all this behind us if you are willing to cease using sockpuppets to rig voting and cease creating hoax articles. If you agree to that, then I will agree to starting over with a clean slate. Sarah Ewart 13:03, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
Hi Eddie, in answer to your questions, if you have a look at this page: WP:SOCK, you'll see that it is against the rules to use multiple accounts for the purpose of voting, deception or circumventing policy. The accounts can be permanently blocked if you use them to cast double votes. It's also the sort of thing people will use against you if you decided you want to try at RfA again. As far as voting goes, it is certainly against policy to use multiple accounts to vote. Also, the section on circumventing policy includes using puppets and anonymous IPs to engage in edit and revert wars, and to attempt to evade 3RR and account blocks. If you were to do things like that, you could be blocked and other users may choose to take formal action against you. I hope that answers your questions. If you are willing to follow the Wiki policies and rules, I will consider us to now have a clean slate. I cerainly don't hold any hard feelings against you and I hope that we are all able to move beyond this and contribute useful and legitimate content to Wiki. [edit] Category talk:Wikipedia:Suspected sockpuppets of EddieSegoura

Dear Wikipedians,

If You're reading this, the author of this page has done nothing but write Me down as a so-called "sockpuppet." I am not here to be such a person and I vehemently deny the validity of this page. -- EddieSegoura 3:25 AM November 25, 2005

Unfortunately, EddieSegoura, these users have similar editing patterns as you do, and for compliance of the Wikipedia:Sockpuppets policy this page is needed to keep track and possibly block these users. Note that these are suspected sockpuppets of you, and whether or not they actually are has not yet been confirmed. Please do not engage in edit war, or you may be blocked in line with WP:3RR. Thank you for your cooperation. --Wikiacc (talk) 16:21, 26 November 2005 (UTC)
Whatever. I think You created this page to embarass Me. You insist on putting tags on IP address and adding users as if they've all been bothering you. Even when I put it up for deletion, You take it off. It's quite clear You want to keep this page up and You probably have more users to add. -- EddieSegoura 02:47, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
Eddie, you're replying to someone else. I'm right here. In any case, I pomise you that I will do everything I can to remove the tags and even the category if you can prove that you are no longer using multiple accounts to circumvent Wikipedia policy. You may need to go some time without touching those accounts (or creating new ones) but that's a promise. Show good behavior and I will demonstrate my good faith in you. It's really very simple, but it is up to you, Eddie. -Viriditas 04:14, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
