VIP Brother

VIP Brother is the name of the Bulgarian version of the Big Brother's spin-off Big Brother VIP. In it, the Housemates are only famous people. The show follows the main Big Brother rules, but with some changes. For example, in VIP Brother the show's duration is shorter - a month (29 days - like in most of the countries it is aired in). The nominations and evictions are twice a week. VIP Brother Bulgaria started its first season on 13 March, 2006 and ended on 10 April, 2006. The hosts were Niki Kunchev and Evelina Pavlova.

The winner of VIP Brother 1 was the pop-folk singer Konstantin, who was chosen by 78% of the audience. He won 50 000 leva. Here are all the VIP Housemates from the first season:

    • Konstantin (29 - pop-folk singer) – Winner on Day 29
    • Violeta Zdravkova (29 - Miss Bulgaria' 99. She entered and lived in the House with her 3-years old daughter Danaya.) – Runner-up on Day 29
    • Dicho (32 - pop-singer) - 3rd place on Day 29
    • Mitio "The Gun" (50 - a candidate for President of Bulgaria) - 4th place on Day 29
    • Dim Dukov (41 - businessman) - 5th place on Day 29
    • Kiril Vulchev (35 - businessman) - 6th place on Day 29
    • LiLana (20 - pop-singer) – 2nd evicted on Day 27
    • Galya Kurdova – (27 - a singer from the famous pop-duet "Karizma") – left the House voluntarily on Day 19
    • Liubomir Milchev "Dandy" (43 - a Bulgarian writer) - left the House voluntarily on Day 19
    • Raina (24 - pop-folk singer) – 1st evicted on Day 15
    • Galya Litova (26 - a famous Bulgarian model) – left the House voluntarily on Day 10
    • Vesela Neynski (an opera singer) - left the House voluntarily on Day 8

The second season of the show starts on 26th March and will continue for 4 weeks, just like the previous season. The new Housemates will be 10-14 with men and women in equal numbers. The producers say that this year the show will not be so scandalous as it previously was.

Rumour has it that Veneta Raykova and Azis are the first to be invited to the show, Veneta with her husband Tihomir (a participant from Big Brother 1), and Azis with Kitaeca. Last year, when the viewers voted which celebrities to participate in the first season, Veneta and Azis were the first two with most votes. Most likely, the big prize will be higher (in VIP Brother 1 it was 50 000 leva). However, according to an unconfirmed information, the celebrities will be paid for their stay in the House (it is said that Azis refused to participate in VIP Brother 1 because he wanted a payment for it), and that there was an option VIP Brother 2 and Big Brother 4 to be aired in one and the same time and even a two-floor House was being built near Sofia. On the one floor would be the Housemates from BB4, and the celebrities on the other one.

The talk-show Big Brother's Big Mouth returned and will be aired every Friday at 22.30. It will be competing with Slavi's show on bTV, which is aired in the same time. If ratings are high, Big Brother's Big Mouth will be aired every night. There is a new member of the evil tongues - Georgi Ifandiev. Before the start of VIP Brother 2, the evil tongues will be discussing daily topics.

[edit] Who Wants to be a Millionaire Special Editions

After the end of VIP Brother, the Housemates were invited to participate in special editions of the TV shows Deal or no Deal and Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Galya from "KariZma" refused to participate in both shows. Raina and Konstantin played WWTBAM in a special edition in February. However, Konstantin played again. Raina and LiLana did not appear in these special editions, too.

Although the show is well-known all around the world, including in Bulgaria, some of the participants as Dandy and Kiril seemed not to had watched the show many times as they had difficulties with the rules. Here are the prizes that the participants won in WWTBAM:

    • Vesela Neynski - 3 000 leva. She played with her friend. They reached the 10 000 levas question, but gave a false answer.
    • Galya Litova - 10 000 leva. She played with her sister. They reached the 25 000 levas question, but decided to stop and take 10 000.
    • Liubomir Milchev "Dandy" - 2 500 leva. He played with his wife. They reached the 3 000 levas question, but decided to stop.
    • Kiril Vulchev - 10 000 leva. Unlike the other housemates, he played the game alone and reached the 25 000 levas question, but decided to stop and take 10 000.
    • Dim Dukov - 3 000 leva. He played with his friend. They gave a false answer to the 5 000 levas question.
    • Mitio "The Gun" - 2 500 leva. He played with a friend. They reached the 3 000 levas question, but took 2 500.
    • Dicho - 3 000 leva. He played with his friend. They reached the 10 000 levas question, but gave a false answer.
    • Traicho Trendafilov - He is Danaya's father (Danaya is Violeta's daughter). It is not clear why he had been invited to play WWTBAM, as these special editions are only for the housemates from VIP Brother. Traicho played with his son and they won 3 000 leva, because they gave a false answer to the 10 000 question.
    • Violeta Zdravkova - 10 000 leva. She played with her mother. They reached the 25 000 levas question, but decided to take 10 000.
    • Konstantin - 5 000 leva. He played with his brother. They reached the 10 000 levas question, but took 5 000 (just like Raina and Konstantin did when they played in February).
